Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the R&D Director shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:
- Directly participates in the development of any new product processes, equipment, and expansions in cooperation with all departments, conveying necessary information to all parties involved
- Managing new product development from theoretical recipe to lab prototype and final product
- Managing the product portfolio for end-users and industrial customers working closely with marketing, procurement, QA, and production.
- Involve project management as well as effective coordination and communication with the Marketing & Sales, Materials, Administration, and Operations departments.
- Build up a strong product development team in terms of technical knowledge and working skill
- Maintains a thorough technical knowledge of all products produced within the company
- Provides feedback in regards to product development based on overall sales and marketing goals and objectives, containers, and packaging when indicated
- Holds a thorough knowledge and understanding of similar products, including all competitors
- Providing necessary technical support to the marketing, and branding team
- Delivering technical support to existing and new customers, and creating new market opportunities.
- Supporting all departments, on any technical or application issues relating to products.
- Build and strengthen the Research and Development functions;
- Develops, implements, and monitors an evaluation plan addressing logic models, strategic and program evaluation questions, data collection methods, analysis, and reporting
- Serve as part of the organization’s leadership team and contribute to the development and execution of strategic decisions
- 70% work related to Technical – 30% work related to Marketing
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in economics, finance, marketing, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Research and Development Director in the stationery or FMCG industry
- Experience in creating and managing intellectual property and fostering an innovative culture
- Strong at leadership, project management, problem-solving
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good command of English and computer
- High level of organization and attention to detail;
- Be familiar with the regulations regarding product and process certification and compliance, as well as various project management techniques (activities, materials, timings, human and financial resources
